Plain language, because you should be able to read this without a lawyer. This covers what we collect when you request a seat, nominate a business, or text with us, and what we do and do not do with it.
The Honor Roll Show is a Santa Clarita Valley interview show produced by Connor T. MacIvor. This policy covers thehonorrollshow.com and the forms, phone number, and text messaging tied to it.
Throughout this policy, "we" and "us" mean The Honor Roll Show. "You" means anyone who visits the site, submits a form, nominates a business, or exchanges messages with us.
When you request a seat on the show or nominate a business, the form asks for your first and last name, business name, phone number, email address, whether you are a first-time or returning guest, and whatever you write in the message field. If you nominate someone else, that includes the contact details you provide for them.
If you call, text, or email, we keep those messages and the phone number or address they came from so we can follow up and keep track of where a conversation left off.
Like most sites, our host records standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you viewed. This is used for security and to understand which pages people actually read.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, financial account numbers, payment card data, or government ID. There is nothing to buy on this site. If a form ever asks you for any of that, it is not ours.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Text messaging consent is handled separately from everything else on this site, and it is worth reading closely.
The guest form has two independent checkboxes. Neither is pre-checked and neither is required to submit an inquiry by email.
Consenting to one does not consent you to the other. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will get one confirmation message and then nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or call 661-400-1720. You can also email us and ask to be removed, and we will handle it manually.
We do not share or sell mobile opt-in data. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or scheduling, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, and this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We only text numbers that have given us consent through the form on this site or in a direct conversation with us. We do not buy, rent, or scrape phone lists, and we do not text people who never asked to hear from us.
We do not sell your personal information. We never have.
We share information only in these situations:
We do not share information with data brokers, advertising networks, or anyone building a list to sell.
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, security, and aggregate traffic measurement. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or cross-site retargeting pixels on this site.
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. The site works fine without them.
We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing, though as stated above we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the first place.
Guest and nomination records are kept for as long as the relationship is active, and afterward as part of the show's production history. Text message consent records are kept for as long as you are opted in, and after you opt out we keep a record of the opt-out itself so we do not accidentally message you again.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time. See section 8.
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. We extend the same rights to everyone who contacts us, regardless of where you live, because it is simpler and fairer.
To make a request, call 661-400-1720 or email us at the address in section 12. We will verify your identity by confirming details you already gave us, and we will respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.
This site and this show are for adults running businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Form submissions travel over HTTPS. Guest records live in an access-controlled customer relationship platform. Credentials for that platform are stored encrypted and are not kept in plain text.
No system is perfect, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. If we ever have a breach that affects your information, we will notify you as required by California law.
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If the change is significant and affects how we message you, we will tell you directly before it takes effect.
